Paphiopedilum Species
|
Paphiopedilum niveum One of the prettiest paphs. Very round white blooms with just the faintest hint of pinkish speckling in the petals. Waxy pouch. Usually a late spring to summer bloomer. Nice upright stems. Compact to dwarf growth habit. A great favorite of ours. 2.5" pots, blooming size. $10.00
Paphiopedilum stonei A spectacular multifloral. Tall stems with up to 5 imposing blooms each. Dorsals are clean white on the face, with some red striping. The back of the dorsal is bright red. The petals are long; arching out almost horizontally for the first half of their length, then curving downward. They are cream with broad mahogany bars. The pouch is bright rose-pink. Well worth the wait! 3" pots, 3-4 years to bloom. $35.00
Paph. urbanianum One of the easiest of all the paphs to grow and bloom well in a mixed collection. Dorsal sepal is cream, lined in deepest olive green. Petals are tipped in a bright orange-pink. As mature plants, these will often give 2 blooms per stem, and can bloom twice per year. Beautiful mottled foliage. 3" pots, near blooming size. $12.50
Paph. Chamberlainianum Dark spots on a light background with twisted petals that are bordered with hairs. Very unique specie and a great plant for beginners. $15.00
Paph. Bellatulum alba These are the finest belletaulum available on the market today. This burmese specie is very vigerous and can double in size each year. The flowers are very large and pure white with short curved stems. Never before offered at this price. $25.00
Paph. wolterianum One of our favorites. Tall wiry stems with gracefully nodding glossy blooms of great charm. Dorsal sepal is glossy green. Petals are green with bright pink-purple paddle-shaped tips. Pouch is honey-tan. Makes a magnificent specimen plant pretty easily if repotted annually. Seems to appreciate slightly underpotting. 2 1/2" pots, about 1 year to bloom. $20.00
Paph. Venustum alba Wow, this has very strong dark green veins that run throughout the light green pouch with a green striped dorsal sepal. A must for any serious collector and a great plant for beginners as well. $25.00
