| Angraecum sesquipedale ('Mount Zion' FCC/AOS x 'Star of Malagasy' FCC/AOS) It is hard to imagine a finer mating of this species. Massive waxy white blooms right around Christmastime. These have a marvelous long spur (up to 18" long, which is where it gets its name) off the back of the blooms. Very fragrant at dusk. Grows very easily in the same light as a cattleya. | Onc. Sharry Baby 'Sweet Fragrance' AM/AOS (Jamie Sutton x Honolulu) This relatively new introduction has already carved out a niche for itself in the florist and nursery trade. It is a strong grower and reliable bloomer, giving upright branching sprays of dark maroon and white blooms. As the name implies, the fragrance is heavenly. | Pescoranthes Star Sapphire (Psnth. Painted Lady x Pes. lehmannii) Another very free-blooming and satisfying hybrid.  Phaius tankervilliae
(syn. grandifolius) One
of the showiest of all the orchids. Known as the "nun orchid".
Soft green leaves 2-3 feet tall make a beautiful foliage plant. Flower spikes
are 3-5 feet tall, and give up to a dozen 5-6" blooms each. The blooms
are shaped like cattleyas, and are tan on the face, white on the back. The
lip is white with pink highlights. Primarily spring bloomers, but a well-grown
plant will bloom off and on throughout the year. 4" pots, $15.50, 8"

green foliage, each leaf about 6-8 inches wide with white stripes through
